    Wood is currently recruiting for Graduate Mechanical Engineers to join Engineering team(s) within our Asset Solutions Western Canada offices based in Calgary, Alberta.

    Skills / Qualifications

    • You possess an appetite to learn and a willingness to jump in for on-the-job training.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • BSc, BEng or equivalent with some relevant experience.
    • Legal authorization to work in Canada

    Key Responsibilities for those selected as part of our Early Careers Program

    • Interact with multi-discipline engineering teams.
    • Demonstrate understanding of and work to discipline specific procedures.
    • Actively progress through the requirements to achieve Professional Engineer status in the relevant province (i.e., APEGA in Alberta)
    • Showing an enthusiasm to learn.
    • Executing assigned personal objectives.
    • Executing assigned work tasks.
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate across the project / client interfaces.
    • Engage with inter-discipline community.
    • Establishing an awareness of external stakeholders including: industry bodies, academia, vendors, client interface (as appropriate and requested).

    Subject Matter Expertise:

    • Demonstrates an increasing level of knowledge of regulatory framework and associated legislation.
    • Progressively demonstrates an increasing level of competence in own discipline in the execution of assigned tasks.
    • Progressively demonstrates an increasing level of knowledge of industry and technology development within discipline area.
    • Ability to communicate well at all levels.
