Wood is seeking an Intermediate Labourer for 6+ week position north of Fort McMurray. This is a 10 on and 4 off shift with flights and camp provided. The successful candidate will be expected to perform a variety of construction related tasks using power tools, rigging equipment, and hand tools. The job includes supporting the work of trades people and maintaining site conditions. Retrieve  tools and materials, performing housekeeping duties, etc. Working in confined spaces and/or at heights, in outdoor and extreme temperatures. - Follow all company and site-specific safety rules. Working within the Company’s Safety Program at all times. Maintaining behaviour-based safety essentials and adherence to the Life Saving Rules. Understand and respond accordingly to all safety alerts, warnings, hazards, etc. - Use effective verbal and written communication skills. Able to adequately comprehend and communicate using the English Language - Listen and communicate effectively and respectfully. Work as a part of a team, under the direction of a foreman and/or general foreman. Maintain motivation to work safely and productively - Maintain site conditions, performing general housekeeping. Eliminate hazards and follow waste handling guidelines - Operate, and maintain air monitoring and other sampling devices in confined and/or hazardous environments - Assist construction crews with general labour tasks - Retrieve, distribute and organize tools and material - Perform spotter and safety watch functions - Control traffic in, near and around work zones - Carry out inspections, complete records, maintain tools and equipment - Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and material - Perform other duties as required

This position can be based out of our Vancouver office with the flexibility to work remotely with balance of office needs.    Key Responsibilities: - Coordination of natural sciences baseline, and impact assessment technical support documentation during project planning, design and implementation phases consistent with the requirements of municipal and provincial legislation and policy - Support the natural sciences component of Environmental Assessments - Obtain environmental permits, approvals and clearances associated with federal and provincial environmental legislation and policies - Collaboratively coordinate with internal technical discipline leads, technical support staff and sub-consultants for the timely execution of technical studies and preparation of natural sciences documentation required to support planning, design and permitting process - Coordinate senior review of deliverables in accordance with Wood review policy - Participate in regulatory agency consultation meetings and public information sessions to establish sound working relationships with relevant Governmental Authorities and Stakeholders - Develop monitoring studies to confirm the compliance and effectiveness of environmental mitigation and compensation measures - Provide project and task management to maintain effective budget tracking and control, deliverable accountability, and client relationship/satisfaction - Proposal management, writing, and cost estimating - Other duties as assigned to you from time to time

Wood is seeking a Senior Laboratory Team Lead to join our Central Canada Materials Testing group based out of our Burlington, Ontario office.  Join our team of specialists who provide materials testing and quality assurance as an integral component to design, and ensure projects are built with the safest and most sustainable materials. We provide materials testing and quality assurance services on some of the biggest projects in Canada.    Key Responsibilities: - Assist with management and supervision of Wood’s CCIL certified Burlington  materials testing laboratory - Assist with administration of annual MTO and CCIL correlation and proficiency testing programs - Implementation of laboratory Health & Safety program - Arranging for equipment maintenance and calibrations as required - Training and mentoring laboratory staff, and tracking of training records - Preparation and distribution of laboratory testing reports, and liaison with Wood’s geotechnical staff, clients and stakeholders - Supervise the day-to-day operations of the asphalt/concrete/aggregate laboratory - Lead and develop a team of Materials Technical staff performing field and laboratory tests - Scheduling and coordinating the activities of material technical staff, assessing resources and allocating work to meet priorities and workload - Responsible for lab safety, lab CCIL certification, MTO correlation programs, preparing for lab audits, maintaining quality control and ensuring timely execution of lab and field tests - Perform lab and field tests as required - Review lab and field test results and reports to ensure standards of quality and accuracy are met - Manage and deliver high quality projects safely, on-time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client
